2010 Annual Benefit Artist Submissions

We are excited to announce our 2010 Annual Benefit! This year it will be held at the ZeiherSmith Gallery on Tuesday, October 12th.

All artists in the NURTUREart Registry are invited to participate in this process, we appreciate everyone's generosity and support. Because space is limited, the benefit exhibition and sale will be curated by a panel of notable guest curators. We are proud to announce that the 2010 panel will include Dan Cameron, Ceci Moss, Jane Panetta and NURTUREart 2009-2010 curatorial alum Krista Saunders.

Works can be in any medium, framed or unframed, maximum 16" in any direction including frame, and must be able to be installed on the wall. Sculptors may include a small shelf for display. Please prepare a 150KB jpeg, between 200 x 200 and 600 x 600 pixels for uploading. If you are an artist wishing to submit work for review by our panel of curators, please click on the 'SUBMIT WORK' link to the left.

Please be patient while the curators carefully review all of the submitted work. Artists will be notified by email of the results in mid to late September, please be sure to enter an up to date email address which you check regularly and add gallery@nurtureart.org to your addressbook so our communications do not wind up in your spam folder. If you do not receive an email by the 30th of September please contact us.

Selected artworks must be delivered to the NURTUREart Gallery in Williamsburg by October 10th, we cannot inconvenience our hosts with individual deliveries or storage of artwork at ZeiherSmith. Selected artworks are donations and all proceeds from their sales support essential programming for NURTUREart Non-Profit, Inc. Included artists are welcome to attend the event for free. Tickets to the benefit are $200 before October 1 and $250 after and include admission for two people and an artwork of the ticket purchasers choice. Please note that only ONE submission is allowed per artist, multiple submissions by the same artist will be deleted prior to jury review.

Deadline for sumbission is midnight, Friday, September 3rd, 2010.

We would also be delighted and grateful to have your help if you would like to volunteer to assist at the event. A lot of hands are needed for every aspect of this production and working together is a lot of fun and a great way to meet people, just check off yes to volunteer on the form and we'll contact you with more information.
